01 · Family

Family and the promise of a word.

I remained a confirmed bachelor until the age of 32. Then I met Hillary, whom I married without even thinking twice. Before our marriage, she asked how I could guarantee that I would remain faithful. I told her that she had my word and that time would tell. More than four decades later, our commitment remains as strong as when we were courting. There has never been, nor could there ever be, anyone to take her place. My word has stood the test of time.

I am the proud father of two children, Brandon and Shada. I have tried to instil in them the same principles that guide my own life: honour your word; never be motivated by money alone; love what you do; and do it to the very best of your ability. Let recognition and reward follow the value you create.

02 · Aviation

Aviation, judgement and perspective.

I started flying aircraft in 1974 and continued until 1982. During that period, I was fortunate to own and operate seven aircraft, the largest of which was a King Air.

I was also privileged to fly some of the world’s wealthiest and most famous people. The experience reinforced an important lesson: people motivated solely by money are often unhappy, while those who love what they do and pursue it with passion tend to live with greater purpose—and success follows.

03 · Cars & motorcycles

Cars, motorcycles and practical craft.

These are some of the cars and motorcycles I have owned over the years. I have always enjoyed building and modifying cars, particularly when I need to step away from the computer and engage with another form of practical problem-solving.

A particular highlight was my 1990 Corvette ZR-1, which received a “Best of Show” award in 2006. The collection also reflects a lasting appreciation for mechanical design, performance and individual craftsmanship.

A lifetime of ideas grounded in direct operational experience.

Kevin Pearman’s approach to invention has never begun with theory alone. It has grown from operating businesses, flying commercially, managing heavy vehicles and confronting the financial and safety consequences of inefficient systems first-hand.

That practical perspective led first to N-Tyre, a heavy-vehicle monitoring concept recognised through multiple innovation awards, and later to the intelligent electrical load-management technologies now being developed by PowerPulse Nexus.

Learning from operating reality

Running a substantial transport operation provided a direct understanding of tyre life, vehicle downtime, maintenance cost and the operational risks associated with heavy vehicles.

03 · N-Tyre

Turning a persistent problem into technology

N-Tyre was developed to improve tyre and casing life while helping operators identify conditions associated with tyre, brake and bearing failures. Its development received significant industry interest and formal recognition.

04 · PowerPulse Nexus

Applying the same thinking to electricity

Kevin’s current work focuses on intelligent electrical load management through FlexGrid, SunSinc and ClaimShield—three market applications built around grid flexibility, solar coordination and asset protection.
